A little about me:
I am a Marriage & Family Therapist, licensed independently in both Massachusetts and Ohio. I work with couples, families, and individuals in therapeutic settings to assess, diagnose and treat trauma, infidelity, divorce, anxiety, relational hurts, depression, parent/child dysfunctions, grief and loss, life transitions, and other mental health symptoms.
I approach therapy with a post-modern perspective in which issues of social justice are addressed to advocate egalitarian ways of being in relationship with one's self, others, and the world around them. I work from an attachment-based framework. My therapeutic style is an integrative posture that allows me to accommodate the different needs of each client.
When working with couples and families I pull from some of the most current evidence-based treatments such as Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy and The Gottman Method. I am trained in Level 1 Gottman and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), using these techniques to increase intimacy, create secure bonds, and strengthen communication among couples.
